The good, the bad, the ugly....we all have em’! Thankfully, when most of us have ‘one of those weeks we would rather forget’ we can take solice in a glass of wine (or several!) and wait for the next one to arrive, safe in the knowledge that at least our disasterous days are not going to the topic of a chat show! Those few and far between times when we dont aspire to be a celebrity, footballer or politician!
Comedian Dara O’Brian returns to our BBC2 screens to host series nine of the hard-hitting panel show Mock The Week! He, along with some of the most quick witted and sharp tongued stand-up comics of the moment use improvisation, one-liners and games to tackle the best of Britain!
Richard Martin Lighting supports Lighting Designer Dave Davey’s design. The design brief set out for Davey when he first joined the production, was to “make the set look colourful without spill onto Projection screens”. To achieve this Dave opted for VL1000TS’ “All hanging, focussed on to backing flats”.
The VL1000TS luminaire combines the functionality of one of the most popular conventional lighting tools – the ellipsoidal reflector spotlight – with the versatility of an automated luminaire.
Automated functions include CYM colour mixing, rotating gobos, variable diffusion, and a zoom lens that ranges from 19° to 36° for normal imaging and a super zoom function that ranges to 70°.
When recently asked about his choice of fixtures Dave said “the VL100TS is the right tool to apply colour and texture to the Mock The Week set to enhance all of the backings and the main desk”.
Lets hope that this crazy country that we live in can continue to generate enough subject matter for another fantastic nine series?!
