Since Richard Martin Lighting relocated to Sovereign Park in 2007, the immense Warehouse space and potential has been limitless. Not only is there ample space for the ever expanding stock list, there are numerous offices, workshops and a fully functioning demo room. This multi-use space simulates studio conditions especially useful for lighting demonstration, effects and design as it has rigs, lights and desks available.
Over the past few months much of our Warehouse space has been rented out, with Apache Sales (Rob Ludlow MD) and now KeyLight Hire renting offices and floor space. From 1st June 2010 KeyLight Hire Ltd can be found at Unit 24 Sovereign Park, Coronation Road, Park Royal, London, NW10 7QP.

Robs career spans 13 years in the Entertainment industry in sales and Business development at ETC, White Light and TMB. Rob spent 8 years at TMB working as sales and business development manager covering UK, Europe, South Africa and Asia.

The time is right to start a new company with a fresh approach and Rob is ideally positioned with vast experience and product knowledge to build a global team to service Apache's clients.”
KeyLight Hire Ltd began supplying lighting equipment and technical staff (electricians, engineers, cameramen) to the Film & TV industry in 2000. Alex Hambi (MD) has over 25 years experience in the industry and the fact that he started out as an electrician, working for the BBC for 15 years, is of great advantage because of the many contacts Alex has in the industry. Also, the practical experience of working in the broadcast environment has given him great knowledge of how this industry works. All of which has been invaluable in helping Alex to expand the company.
KeyLight Hire initially supplied lighting equipment for small projects at the BBC with small lighting kits and through expansion and time, now stock a vast range of lights; Incandescent, Discharge, Fluorescent (including the entire lighting grip) Cables and Distro and accessories.
“Eventually our work has evolved into bigger projects, and our clientele base has increased. We now have a client list consisting of Production Companies, DOP’s, Lighting Gaffers, as well as other Lighting Companies. Due to the expansion we have invested in a fleet of vehicles, which we hire out to customers and we also found a need to offer a Generator Hire Service, which we also now do. In 2008, we also increased our Service capacity. As well as offering PAT testing services, we now offer equipment repairs and a maintenance service.”
When Alex was recently asked about the move he said “Hopefully 2010 will be another great year for us as we aim to work closely with RML………and build another great component to what we can both offer.”
