Looks like the grass maybe greener....?!

After working as a professional gardener and a garden journalist, Alan Titchmarsh has established himself as a media personality through appearances on gardening programmes. Since 2007 he has hosted his own ITV tea time chat show – The Alan Titchmarsh show, where each episode sees him cook delicious meals with resident and celebrity chefs, chat to celebrity guests and enjoy music numbers.

The show is recently back for another series, with all of the things that we have grown to know and love – the same opulent set as previous series, the same trusty Lighting Designer (Roger Williams) and the same Lighting Supplier (Richard Martin Lighting). However there are some significant changes to this season’s shows...

Not only has the slot for the show gone back to its original air time of every week day at 3pm, it is also now has a new home as it is filmed at The London Studios.

The lighting rig heavily features the Clay Paky range – including Alpha Spot and Wash 300 and Alpha Spot 575 HPE, along with Pixel Par 90’s and LED Parcans.

The Alpha Spot 575 HPE was the first spot light to be purchased from that range. This high performance unit has a high reliability and wide effects section that is adaptable to any environment.  It also sports an impressive range of features including; Linear CTO, CYM Colour mixing, 7 x colour wheels, 10°-40° electronic linear zoom, 2 x rotating gobos with 6 x gobos in each and 1 x fixed wheel with 8 gobos.

With the show rooted in its new studios, we look forward to watching it continue to blossom!
