Dermot Murnaghan is back to host another season of the ‘eggcellent’ popular prime time quiz show – Eggheads. 

Two teams go head-to-head through five rounds of gruelling questions and intense brain teasers. The Eggheads teams consist of highly regarded quiz and game show champions, (rotating each episode) against a series of teams of five 'challengers' who in each episode attempt to ‘beat’ the Eggheads.

Lighting Designer Martin Kempton continues to originate the show, lights provided by Richard Martin Lighting and supported by TSL Glasgow. This season was operated by BBC Board Operator Julia Smith.

The design specification includes Stage Zoom 1200’s, Stage Profile Plus’s, Mac 250’s, Mac 600’s and Chroma Banks.

The industry standard MAC 600 is a powerful wash light with a CMY color mixing system, 440° of pan and 306° of tilt and a fast and smooth movement.

The Stage Zoom 1200 is a powerful, sophisticated moving body effects projector, intended mainly for the most demanding application in the entertainment industry. It has a linear zoom and infinite combinations of constantly different effects, which are achievable using its advanced gobo and prism systems.

It’s no ‘yoke’ that we are very ‘eggcited’ about the new series and our continued involvement with the show....although we much prefer to watch the show rather than put together our own RML ‘challenger’ team because quite frankly some of the questions completely ‘scramble’ our heads.

So after all of those really bad egg puns the only thing left for me to do is take the first eggs-it!
