Show creator Dan Patterson recently enthused: "What a year 2011 has been! We've had a referendum, a Royal Wedding and the discovery of the world's most wanted man. Unfortunately, that's all gone now, but I'm sure we'll get just as much mileage out of the Turkish elections, the England v Sri Lanka Test Series and the effect of inflation on utility bills. We can't wait to get started."
He can only be talking about one thing!
Comedian Dara O’Brian this week returns to our BBC2 screens to host the tenth series of the topical panel show - Mock The Week! The game is influenced by improvised topical stand-up comedians, with several rounds requiring players to deliver answers on unexpected subjects on the spur of the moment.
Richard Martin Lighting supports Lighting Designer Dave Davey’s design. The design brief set out for Davey when he first joined the production, was to “make the set look colourful without spill onto Projection screens”. To achieve this Dave opted for VL1000TS’ “All hanging, focussed on to backing flats”.
The VL1000TS luminaire combines the functionality of one of the most popular conventional lighting tools – the ellipsoidal reflector spotlight – with the versatility of an automated luminaire. Automated functions include CYM colour mixing, rotating gobos, variable diffusion, and a zoom lens that ranges from 19° to 36° for normal imaging and a super zoom function that ranges to 70°.
When asked about his choice of fixtures Dave said “the VL100TS is the right tool to apply colour and texture to the Mock The Week set to enhance all of the backings and the main desk”.
