......the long running, hit comedy panel game show, 8 Out of 10 Cats is back!

Quick witted, quintessentially English stand up comedian Jimmy Carr continues to present the Channel 4 show. Based on public opinion polls, surveys and statistics...the show, which consists of two teams, has regular captains along with different...sometimes topical...celebrity guests each episode.

Lighting Designer Oli Richards supported by Richard Martin Lighting (RML) provide Pulsar ChromaPanel’s on the show to assist with the boldness of both the set and the game itself.

The ChromaPanel is a square colour mixing panel that utilises high-power LEDs to create a vivid panel of changing colour making it ideal for suspended ceilings or decorative wall or set displays.

The show's title is derived from a well-known advertising tagline for Whiskas cat food which originally claimed that "8 out of 10 cats prefer Whiskas". How they came about a title like that I don’t know, in fact how they continue to come up with such random polls for the show I don’t know either?!

One thing I do know is that since the show was first aired back in 2005, it has continued to be a breath of fresh air in the entertainment world, never being able to tell what’s in store from one show to the next.

With a solid choice of teams captains (Sean Lock and Jon Richardson) and the undeniable sense of sarcasm (which we Brits just love!) that comes from Jimmy, it’s clear to see why normal rules don’t apply when it comes to this show....well you know what they say about cats and their lives?!
